Terror attacks in Canada and France: Two killed

At least two people were killed and five injured in terrorist attacks in Canada and France.

Two women were stabbed to death by an assailant at Marseille in France. The police who were on patrol nearby immediately shot the assailant to death. Police suspect terrorist involvement in the attack.

In Canada, two separate terror incidents were reported on Saturday. One policeman and four pedestrians were reportedly injured.

The first attack was reported from Edmonton City Stadium where the Canadian Football League is being conducted. An over-speeding car ran into the police van and an assailant threw knife at one of the policemen.

The assailant ran away and returned in another vehicle in Alberta region, where he ran over four pedestrians.

The assailant was arrested, and the driver of the van was detained. The police have recovered IS flags from the vehicle.
