Over 50 dead in Las Vegas shooting; rules out terrorism

Las Vegas shooting

Over 50 people were dead and 200 wounded in a massive shooting at Mandalay Bay casino hotel in Las Vegas.

The assailant was seen firing rapidly from the 32nd floor of a hotel.

The suspect was caught and slain; he was identified as Stephen Paddock, a Las Vegas man, and not believed to be associated with any militant group, according to police.

The death toll could rise further, and would make the attack the deadliest shooting in the history of the U.S., after the Orlando massacre that killed 49 people last year.
