North Korea has launched another threat to the U.S., saying it will stage an “unimaginable” strike on the U.S.
The statement from the North’s Korean Central News Agency warns the U.S. against “introducing under our nose the targets we have set as primary ones.”
The targets refer to the joint drills by the U.S. and the South Korea off the Korean Peninsula, which runs through October 26.
Amid these developments, the European Union has unanimously issued a warning to North Korea today, asking to stop the nuclear weapons program.
The EU summit will soon issue a joint statement which will demand complete ban on nuclear testing. If the demand is not met, the EU is likely to tighten the sanctions against North Korea, according to news sources.
Currently the EU has imposed a symbolic sanction against North Korea, by not offering crude oil and related products. The EU is seeking other countries’ actions in the same line, say reports.
