The latest revelation on black money has put Indian politicians and corporates in trouble again.

According to the latest data released by Paradise Papers, India has been ranked 19th in the list of black money holders.

The disclosure comes as a blow to the BJP-led government in India, which had set a high-pitch propaganda during election campaigns for bringing black money back to India.

Ironically the revelation comes as the government is preparing to celebrate the 1st anniversary of demonetization   drive on November 8, which is also being celebrated as Anti-Black Money Day.

There are 714 Indians in the list, the outcome of the investigation led by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).

Some of the top names in the list include Minister of State for Aviation Jayant Sinha, BJP MP R.K. Sinha, Bollywood star Amitabh Bachhan and Manyata Dutt, wife of actor Sanjay Dutt, among others.
